About

PRP – music & passion

Poisson Rivière Productions consists in two parts:

a recording & mixing studio and an independant label.

As the Band Breet seriously started thinking about buying recording equipment to produce themselves for their first album in 2006, the idea was born.

Early 2007, being experienced with rehearsal recordings ever since, they felt ready to start the recordings for „Zen Lunacy“. Learning by doing they advanced step by step with the production, which they released in december 2007 at their own festival named „Sunside of Darkness“.

In spring 2008 members of the band, Pascal and Dan, continued recording stuff and produced a demo for SoulJacker Duo, another project Dan is involved. A few single recordings like „Streamline“ or „Far from you“ followed, which gave birth to Birdbones and Moonlight in the Desert, new Bands Erik, Pascal and Dan play in. In summer 2008 Breet started working on their second album, but circumstances made that the production is on ice until now. Nevertheless they continued working on Moonlight in the Desert, followed by Dick Laurent, a new project by Pascal and Erik. Both bands as like SoulJacker Duo performed in december at the 4th edition of the „Sunside of Darkness“ event.

In february 2009 they started working on Moonlight in the Desert‘s first album and in march CherryTree succeeded. A few month later the production for Birdbones took shape and reflections of an independant label became stronger.

Having finished the album production for Moonlight in the Desert, the demo recordings for Cherrytree and the EP recordings for Birdbones in early 2010, they now feel ready to act as an independant label.

Sharing the same passion for music and working together since 8 years, Erik, Pascal and Dan always got supported by Rik. Together they form Poisson Rivière Productions.
